Greg's Wade's Accessible Extruder with 5mm output gear axle
thingiverse
This is a custom version of Tick007's GWAE, stripped down to eliminate the need for the 'M8_nut_adapter'. The simplified design includes only the main body and the large gear, with the other components sourced from the original assembly. The body requires two 625 bearings to function properly, while the gear features a dedicated pocket for an M5 screw equipped with a hexagonal head (8mm key). To complete the setup, use a long M5 screw measuring at least 50 mm in length, or longer if desired. Ensure that this screw has an unthreaded section between its head and threaded portion. Lastly, file a flat spot on the drive gear retaining screw for secure attachment.
