Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfDMYGnhWY4 This is Greg's Wade extruder, modified to fit the Ender 2, and likely also compatible with the CR 10 (not yet tested). With this extruder installed, the Ender prints significantly better and you can disable the stepper driver without experiencing step loss. My Nema 17 motor runs cooler now, previously it was running very hot. The esteps need to be adjusted; unfortunately, the original firmware does not allow for saving, so they must be re-entered each time the printer boots up. That's why I flashed my Ender with Marlin firmware - a relatively simple process, and instructions can be found online. Have fun with it (Original Description: Adapted for E3D Hobb Goblin 8mm hobbed shaft Adapted for PC4-M5 bowden connector The filament path has been extended to provide contact with the Hobb Goblin 8mm hobbed shaft and 608ZZ skate bearing. This extended path should allow flexible filaments to print without kinking or material damage. Assembly instructions / Bill of Material: http://reprap.org/wiki/Wade's_Geared_Extruder )
