Greeting Card
thingiverse
Maybe your gift needs a personal touch, or maybe your friend is crazy about 3D printed gizmos. Either way, like me, you might not have access to a paper printer. The perfect 3D printed stand-in will give your gift an extra special touch. I ran separate prints and different colored filaments for the cards and words so the text really pops out. Here's what I learned along the way: 1) Tinkercad has a super easy-to-use text tool that worked like a charm. 2) I added a rectangle to the bottom to keep everything lined up perfectly. I made sure the pattern was 2.5mm high for a smooth finish. 3) Tinkercad also comes with some basic shapes, including stars you can use as fun accents. 4) I used superglue to assemble the pieces, but be careful - it leaves behind a cloudy residue on nearby plastic that can ruin the finish if not handled right.
