Greenhouse roof braces V2
thingiverse
Optimize your greenhouse performance by blocking sunlight from the roof effectively. Painting the glass white is a viable option, but be aware that you'll need additional sunlight during fall, and removing paint can be a significant task. I've experimented with various solutions, including using a bed sheet, but due to high humidity in the greenhouse, this approach doesn't last long. Therefore, I'm now trying styrofoam sheets, 1 cm thick, which are an inexpensive material option. To secure these sheets, I designed custom braces that can be attached using hammerhead screws. I'd love to see your prints of this design. V2 Update: After one year, I noticed that the thin sections of the original brace began bending due to heat within the greenhouse. To address this issue, I've thickened the material. Additionally, I've created a half-brace for installation next to the opening window. If you plan on printing this design, consider using white filament as it will extend the lifespan of the braces. Print them sideways to prevent overhanging issues.
