Green Lantern's Lantern/Battery (Variant)

This design is a variation of Green Lantern's lantern, incorporating features from the Injustice 2 video game that inspired me. Assembled at 1:1 scale, the lantern stands approximately 15.5 inches tall, 11.5 inches wide, and 9 inches deep. The images showcase the lantern printed in 1:1 scale with glow-in-the-dark filament; opaque filaments will work as well but may not be as satisfying. The lantern has been designed to serve as both a costume prop and a functional lamp, allowing the handle shaft to swivel delicately. To keep the handle upright when used as a regular lamp, holes have been drilled for locking pins on the inside of the lantern. Green LED lights wrap around the LED cylinder, requiring a 12-volt power supply that is not included with the product. I chose these LEDs because they match my existing equipment and allow the lantern to be used while mobile. The green LED strip lights are available on Amazon and offer water-resistance and flexibility. Nylon screws were used for assembly, combined with hot glue for bezel pieces, shrouds, diffusers, and base/LED cylinder. To accommodate the LED cord, a hole can easily be drilled in the base if desired. The nylon screws used are approximately 1 inch long, with a diameter of 0.1 inches and a screw head diameter of 0.23 inches. These screws blend seamlessly with the glow filament and can be cut or clipped to size as needed. The handle pieces and shaft couplings require shorter screws than the shaft pieces. To properly diffuse the light from the LEDs, wax paper was glued onto the back of the diffusers, as shown in the images.
