Green Lantern - luminous

thingiverse

My son asks for a green lantern luminaire that can switch on when the ring comes near. Here are the results: I designed many parts that can be glued together. Support printing is only needed for the half spheres; I'm not sure if other placements will work without support. I print the diffusor planes in neon green, so the inner white LEDs shine through in a bright green light. A reed switch has been placed in one reflector and another under the top side. This allows the light to be switched on when the magnetic ring comes into contact with the reflector, and also when you place the ring on top of the lantern. Detailed instructions can be found on YouTube at this link: https://youtu.be/zFRIyOHx_8M Hint: The placement of the parts below is not optimized for printing; please rotate them to optimize the print.
