While trekking through the dense forest, bound for the enigmatic "stone skull," I stumbled upon a small, motionless lake that seemed frozen in time. Its surface was shrouded by a thick layer of vibrant green algae known as Chlorella vulgaris, commonly referred to as pond scum.
