On police records, the Green Hornet is a notorious wanted criminal, but in reality, he's using this alias to infiltrate and take down ruthless gangs, leaving them and the incriminating evidence for police to find. Britt's motivation for fighting crime was revealed on-screen: his father had been wrongly imprisoned and died after being framed for a crime he didn't commit.
