Source Wikipedia: "The Green Dot logo is often confusing due to a resemblance to the recycling symbol, a universal logo for recyclable materials since 1970, while it does not signal recyclable or recycled packaging, nor a composition including recycled materials, nor an ecolabel, but only a mandatory contribution to the processing of packaging. Thus, according to a survey conducted in 2007, 51% of French people thought that the Green Dot identified a product made from recycled material. In 2018, the association 60 million consumers also reported, following a survey, that "consumers think that the product is recyclable, or that it was made from recycled material" when it bears this logo."
