Decorative Greek column drawing inspiration from iconic Tower of Winds structure in Athens. The Tower of Winds or Horologion of Andronikos Kyrrhestes is a stunning octagonal Pentelic marble clocktower in the Roman Agora, Athens that functioned as the world's first horologion. Dubbed unofficially as Aerides (Winds), this ancient wonder combines innovative features including sundials, a water clock, and a precision wind vane. Architects claim Andronicus of Cyrrhus built this masterpiece around 50 BC, yet historians believe it could have been constructed as early as the 2nd century BC, predating other forum structures. Restoration efforts by Athens Ephorate of Antiquities culminated in completion of crucial cleaning and conservation work during the summer of 2014, finishing off restoration in August 2016.
