The great dodecahedron has 12 pentagonal faces and 20 vertices. It is a highly symmetrical polyhedron that can be inscribed within a sphere. The great dodecahedron's symmetry group is the dihedral group Dih(5), which consists of 60 rotations, including 30 rotations by multiples of 36 degrees about an axis through a vertex and the midpoint of the opposite face, and 30 rotations by multiples of 72 degrees about an axis through the midpoints of two opposite edges.
