A relief panel depicting the Great Departure of the Buddha is on display. Crafted in Gandhara between the 2nd and 4th centuries, this masterpiece is carved from a single block of talcose schist. A thick layer of lime deposit coats the entire surface, adding to its already striking appearance. This valuable artifact was generously donated by Mrs Helena Custance. It can be found on display in the Buddhism gallery, specifically in Room 20 of The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation Galleries of Buddhist Art. Case WN, shelf 1 contains this incredible work of art.
