Conor O'Kane's team at Petrified Data crafts a Great Barrier Reef model for Govhack 2016, utilizing data from the center for coral reef studies at https://www.coralcoe.org.au/media-releases/only-7-of-the-great-barrier-reef-has-avoided-coral-bleaching. This is combined with height data from the Space Shuttle Topography Mission at http://dwtkns.com/srtm/. The finished model undergoes hand-painting to signify coral health, topped off with resin to evoke the ocean's essence.
