Grawlix
thingiverse
Grawlix is a game for two players that can be played in 15-30 minutes. It is suitable for all ages but is intended for players who are eight years old or older. Grawlix is played with a set of 36 tiles. There is one tile for each possible combination of six punctuation marks and six colors. During the game, the players take turns playing tiles in a grid with the constraint that no row or column may have more than one tile with each punctuation mark or color. The winner is the player who is able to force their opponent into a position where they have no legal moves remaining. Grawlix is related to the thirty-six officers problem. These tiles can also be used as a tool to better understand that problem. The rules for the game can be found at: [https://ttkttkt.itch.io/grawlix](https://ttkttkt.itch.io/grawlix). The file grawlix_tiles.stl has models for one batch of tiles that are need to play the game. Each batch consists of one tile with each glyph. The tiles are designed to be printed using two colors, one for the base and a different color for the glyph. All of the glyphs start printing at the same height, so you can pause and swap filament as needed. A complete set of Grawlix tiles is comprised of six batches of tiles. You should use the same base color for each batch, but different glyph colors. Good choices for the base color are white or light grey. The standard glyph colors are: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple.
