I just watched a really cool video on the King of Random YouTube Channel. The link to it is http://youtu.be/sQrz6sRjiVI. Instead of making something out of wood, why not try 3D printing it? The rules are pretty simple: 1) You have to balance 14 nails on top of just one nail head. 2) Don't use anything else besides the nails - no glue, tape, magnets or even your hands! 3) No nail can touch the base or the ground. You can easily pick up a box of Bright Common nails at Home Depot for under $4. I used 10d 3" long nails to make this thing.
