The crossing lanes curve slightly upward, the short lane drops down steeply. Extend one or both of the crossing lanes by adding rails that slope sharply uphill. A ball released into the crossing lanes will bounce back and forth repeatedly until it almost comes to a complete stop, then it will exit via the short lane.
