I have had too many times that my marbles have run out of momentum going through turns so I decided to do something about it. This piece starts the turn 5mm higher than it ends it, so you only need a single spacer for the incoming piece. I have also made a tight turn version that works the same way. Now I can do S-turns for days! Print Settings Printer: Artillery Sidewinder X1 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: .2 Infill: 20% Filament: generic petg blue Notes: I created this so that there would be no need for cleanup once printed. The bottom layer is slightly smaller so that there is no elephant foot and the ring will simply push into place tightly and not need any glue. I do print with my bottom layer at 150% (.3mm) as per the designed anti-elephant foot. The other thing that I do is make my supports so that they will easily pop out by using the settings that I have included in the screenshot as the only thing that I hate more than using supports in my designs, is using supports that are a PITA to remove and clean up! However, since the space is so narrow, if you angle your piece in the correct way then you can probably print without any support material. If you do and it works out for you I'd love to hear back about it. Category: Toys & Games
