Gravitrax SpaceRail lift combo

A friend of mine has a Gravitrax vertical set and when cleaning up his son's room he found his SpaceRails set. He asked me to design some parts to make the lift of the SpaceRail compatible. This is what I came up with. The Spacerails lift only ejects balls at the top of the lift. First I tackled this problem by designing a new part for the helix. Just replace a helix section of the lift with the new part and the balls will be ejected at this height. Next was to design rings which allow the tracks of the Gravitrax set to connect to the lift. I ended up designing two rings. The bottom "in" ring and the top "out" ring. On the bottom of each ring I have embossed "in" and "out" so you know which to place where. After this I designed a base for the lift so it stands level and securely on the Gravitrax baseplate. Just set the lift base in the baseplate of the Gravitrax system and place the lift on top. Place the "in" ring at the bottom of the lift and the worm wheel and "out" ring at the desired height. Build an awesome Gravitrax track and turn on the lift! The cool thing is that you can connect the output of one side of the lift to the input of another side of the lift and create very intricate routes! (it's a shame I had to return it all :D ;-) ) Have Fun!
