Gravitrax Compatible Elevation System

Gravitrax Compatible Elevation System

This solution is tailored to address the issue of needing numerous "elevation" blocks to construct larger Gravitrax tracks. The stock boxes only contain a few, and the large transparent platforms are an excellent way to build elevated levels, but they often get in the way due to their size. I've discovered several solutions that achieve similar results, but none of them met my requirements since I wanted something that would: - Print faster (parts that can be printed horizontally, laid down) - Be modular (no big columns or bridges printed all in one piece) - Be fairly sturdy (not fall apart when marbles run across it) - Be hollow (allow for tracks and jumps to occur below the elevated plane) - Be compatible with my 6-Exit Basic Tile variation I'm providing different heights of pillars, each height (apart from the 140mm one, which I needed specifically for a project I'll be sharing soon) is 30mm longer than the previous one. This made it very convenient when building tracks. I'm also supplying two versions of each pillar: a standard one and a **tight** one. The tight ones provide more sturdiness but might be difficult for children to pull apart. I recommend printing one 35mm pillar of each type (it's the shortest one and fastest to print) and test it to decide which ones work best for you. You'll need to print **three pillars of the desired height and one platform** to have a complete elevation module. Obviously, you'll also need to print a 6-Exit Basic Tile. Alternatively, if you have a large enough printer or if you decide to get this printed for you with one of the services Thingiverse provides, I've prepared a full 5-module tray (fit for a 300x300mm build plate) containing five platforms and three pillars of each height. The pillars included in this pre-assembled tray are the standard ones. If you decide to use the **tight** pillars, you'll need to use the individual STL files. If you make this, it would be awesome to see pics of your makes! Note: I'm not associated with Ravensburger or Gravitrax; this is just a design that's compatible with the Gravitrax system and provides functionality the stock parts don't. I do this for mere fun, but if you find my projects useful in enhancing your Gravitrax experience, consider tipping me; I'd really appreciate it!
