This ancient marble stele unearthed in Athens tells the story of a young woman who has passed away. She is depicted wearing a traditional chiton, as well as an himation, and holds a duck in her left hand with remarkable poise. A reddish hue remains preserved on her hair, offering a glimpse into her life. On the epistyle, her name, Chorigis, and that of her father, Chorigionos, are beautifully inscribed.
