Located in the bustling port city of Piraeus, the memorial takes the shape of a solemn shrine. Preserved on the left is the fragmented yet unmistakable head of a seated woman who likely cradled a chest in her lap. Before her and gazing intently are two figures, a woman and a bearded man whose lowered right hand extends towards the deceased in a poignant gesture. This ancient monument stands as one of the earliest multi-figured gravestones of its kind, believed to have adorned the tomb of a prominent family in Piraeus.
