Human: Beautiful stele carved from Pentelic marble in Markopoulo (ancient Hagnous), Attica. The virtuous Archestrate, cherished by her husband, as stated on the epigram above the monument, sits comfortably on a stool with a footrest and takes an item from the small box held out to her by a young woman. Beside Archestrate's legs appears the figure of her little daughter, offering her a tiny bird that she grasps firmly in her right hand. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World".
