This grave monument was unearthed in Piraeus.\r\nIt portrays a bearded man draped in a cloak, seated on a chair, gripping a sceptre. The architectural framework above the small shrine on the stele indicates that he is Tynnias, son of Tynnon, a native of Trikorynthos, an Attic deme located near Marathon. His dignified presence echoes similar idealized representations of Athenian citizens and deities found on the Parthenon frieze.
