Discovered in Athens is the stele, its form unmistakably that of a naiskos. Inscribed on the epoistyle is the name of the deceased Neike, daughter of Eirenaios. Portrayed beside her are two women rendered in the likenesses of both the Small and Large Herculaneum Woman types, models frequently used throughout the period's iconography.
