Grave stele

Found in Athens. The stele has the form of a naiskos. The name of the dead woman, Neike daughter of Eirenaios, is inscribed on the epoistyle. The two women depicted are rendered in the types of the Small and the Large Herculaneum Woman, in the types of the Small and the Large Herculaneum Woman, which were widely found in the iconography of the period.
