Halicarnass, a historic site in Turkey near the Mausoleum, was acquired by collectors in 1854. The marble sculpture from the 2nd century BC proudly showcases the palm branch as a symbol of victory, the folded staff held in the right hand, and the herm depicting Herakles from the waist up wearing a lion skin, all indicating that the deceased achieved great success as an athlete. As the patron deity of the palaestra, Herakles was revered in Greek gymnasia by statues depicting him as a wise hero in his old age. This artifact is part of "Scan The World," a non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe for public access at no cost.
