Condemned to remain in Piraeus, a young woman sits regally on a throne adorned with an enigmatic sphinx and the formidable visage of a ram on its backrest. She swiftly adjusts her himation with her right hand, while her left hand cradles a lavishly decorated jewellery box resting on her knees. Her entourage consists of three women. The one to her left bends low, tenderly caressing her hand, as another figure in the background coos over a newborn baby. At her right stands the fragmentary remains of a maidservant clad in a barbarian sleeved chiton. A pediment and pilasters were added to this funerary monument in an attempt to elevate its grandeur.
