Seized on Corfu, but likely discovered at Vouliagmeni, Attica. A lady clad in a chiton and himation, grasps her right hand to lift it up, sits comfortably on a stool. In front of her stands a woman holding a jewelry box. To the left, a young servant raises her hand to her face with a gesture of grief. The majesty of the deceased lady resembles the goddess Hera in the Parthenon frieze. This monument, shaped like a naiskos with pilasters, ranks as one of its kind's most significant examples.
