The excavated grave mound shows its underlying structure after soil removal from four distinct sectors, revealing exposed cross-sections and a prominent central cairn. As part of the memorial construction process, a plateau was carefully crafted using excavated soil, providing a level surface for the placement of the grave in the center. A cairn was then erected atop this base, likely left to weather for a period before being completely covered with soil to create the mound as we see it today. Additional views of the excavation process are available, offering a comprehensive understanding of the grave's construction and evolution over time.
