Grave mound A3000 before excavation, Rv36
sketchfab
The massive burial earthwork dominated a west-facing incline, its expansive footprint measuring up to 18 meters in width. Faint impressions of a shallow foot trench encircled the earthen rise, while a broad and deep excavation pit pierced its center, with an intrusive cut extending eastward. Visible on the surface, particularly in the slopes, were several large stones, their seemingly random placement indicating they did not form part of any exterior structure but rather resulted from the grave's reopening, as the internal cairn had suffered significant damage.
