The remnants of an individual were first documented in 2016. An excavation project was launched in 2019 due to severe coastal erosion. Researchers are currently conducting post-excavation analysis to determine the identity of this person and their potential connection to the Post-Medieval informal burial site located nearby. Cardiff University students specializing in Human Osteology and Archaeological Science played a crucial role in recovering and documenting the human remains during the excavation process.
