Grasshopper - Hypothetical Hovercraft

This is a concept design imagining a hypothetical propulsion system that allows a hovercraft to hover without the need for a skirt for trapping a cushion of air. The navigational lighting is correct for hovercrafts according to the COLREGS (international regulations for the lighting of vessels at sea) - red port side light, green starboard side light, centralized white light, and flashing yellow light (in this case on the highest mast above the radar housing). There is a forward headlight housing with five headlights that can be rotated left/right/up/down individually or in groups (ex. the outer headlights can be rotated outward to widen the lighting spread in front of the craft). The four landing pads are cushioned on the bottom with a type of solid foam simular to (but more resistant than) orthopedic mattresses so as to distribute the weight on the surface that is landed on in order to create minimum impact when landing on a natural environment. All the main command controls and displays are attached directly to the pilot seat (with the exception of an overhead console). There are two control sticks (joysticks) - the left hand stick controls the forward/reverse movement and the sideways left/right movement, the right hand stick controls the rotational left/right movement and the vertical AGL (above ground level). Both the pilot seat and forward passenger seat can swivel inward to allow easier entering and leaving the seats.
