I fabricated this replacement component for my electric lawn trimmer. It rectifies the trimmer spool and if pushed, it enables the release of synthetic cord. Better print it using high-impact material like ABS or HIPS to make it more robust. This screw button has a 10.4 mm hole for a 10mm shaft of trimmer and holds an M13 screw. The original button also features a 17.5mm steel cover. The button is reinforced slightly since printed parts are generally less durable than extruded ones under pressure. Note: Version 2 updates the diameter of the steel cover from 17 to 17.5mm to better match its actual size. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: JGAURORA Z - 605S Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2 layer, 0.4 nozzle Infill: 100% Notes: The part model includes embedded support for axle - a tube. It must be removed after printing. A tube was added because Cura did not provide its own, while it was necessary to provide a smooth surface for M13. Other part orientation requires even more support. Post-Printing I created this component in OpenSCAD in just a couple of hours.
