Grass Snake Modified Trigger Assembly

Grass Snake Modified Trigger Assembly

I was having some trouble assembling the internals in the Grass Snake so I made some tweaks to the way the trigger mechanism goes together. I figured I'd post it here in case it helps anyone else. First and foremost I turned the trigger + trigger link into one part. You can still assemble the blaster just fine with it printed this way, and I was having issues with the screw connecting the two parts rubbing against the flywheel cage right above it. I also moved the hole for the screw that links the extension springs back a bit on the trigger link, so you should get more force behind it. Mine wasn't actually pulling hard enough to turn off the switch 100% of the time, I may have gotten too big an extension spring though. (IMPORTANT) because of this, the screw here will need to be screwed in further down since it will need to pass under the pin for the catch. Make sure your screw is short enough that it doesn't go all the way through and drag against the bottom, you may need to shorten it. Secondly I made the link a bit thinner to prevent it from rubbing against the wall it's up against. Once again I was having friction issues(common theme.) And finally I curved out the pusher so it doesn't have a sharp corner trying to drag against the bottom part of the assembly. Since I had to print the blaster with supports I couldn't quite get rid of the texture there and the corner was creating some drag. The extra material seems to let it slide smoother and causes no conflict with the mag. Only tested with Talon mags though, be warned. Also just as a note, the link+trigger is a weird shape, I printed it on its side with supports to just support the trigger and it worked fine. I don't recommend trying to generate supports on the side that drags against the underside of the flywheel cage unless you like sanding.
