Grappling Hook
thingiverse
I crafted this Grappling Hook with one goal in mind: rescuing a lost drone from a tree branch. I envisioned throwing it like a slingshot, snagging onto the branches and then giving them a good shake to dislodge the drone. Unfortunately, by the time I returned to the park, my Parrot Swing drone was nowhere to be found! Farewell, dear Parrot Swing! It's gone, but not forgotten. Despite its untimely demise, I'm thrilled with how this project turned out. I designed it to be easy to print, and I hope it will serve as a helpful resource for others who might need it. To ensure maximum strength, I used a 25% infill density. This should provide ample resistance against the forces that will inevitably come into play when you're using it to grab onto branches or other objects. Note that the holes in this design are large enough to accommodate bolts up to 4mm in diameter. If you need to use larger fasteners, feel free to enlarge the holes accordingly. Just be sure to secure them properly on both sides with nuts to prevent any accidents.
