I required a GPS mount for an upcoming Quad project. Scoured the house for "carbon rod or similar"...the only thing I found was plenty of pencils. Hey, they're lightweight and robust...also have a nice shape! Fabricated this for 7mm pencils (i.e., 7mm between flat areas on the pencil). Simply print two of these and attach to your vehicle & GPS. Adjust length by cutting your pencil. The area is 36x36mm to accommodate the PixHawk 3DR GPS nicely. Print Settings Printer: Wanhao Duplicator 4S Rafts: No Supports: No Notes: Just print it. Extremely simple print.
