Writing with a pencil has one major drawback: sharpening. I prefer using a caran d'ache "fixpencil", which only needs its lead sharpened from time to time. However, carrying around a trashcan isn't always feasible, leading me to create this small graphite dust collector. The lid on the box can be stiff at first, but that's not by design. Its purpose is actually meant to stay firmly in place. To remove any loose graphite dust, simply strike the sharpener against the internal step within the box.
