This 3D model showcases a mortar and pestle acquired by its current owner at a second-hand market just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. Today, it's used mainly for meal prep, crushing, pulverizing, and grinding various ingredients, herbs, and spices. Its prominent spot in the kitchen is mirrored in this 3D representation, which depicts the object resting on the table where it was most frequently used. The granite surface features a simple, solid design that has barely changed since ancient cooks and healers wielded it. As eating healthy becomes increasingly important for physical and mental wellbeing, the mortar and pestle serves as an everyday reminder of the impact of home-cooked meals and quality ingredients on human health.
