Grandfather Clock Case for EC1515B and DS1302 Rotating Clock Kits
myminifactory
Human: I constructed the EC1515B clock kit several years ago and it has simply sat idle without a case ever since. There are other 3d printable cases available for these clocks, but me being me, I wanted something truly unique. To my knowledge, no one has ever integrated one into a grandfather clock. This is printed in multiple sections without supports for any component, as long as the pieces are printed in the orientation presented. I printed the pins with a brim, but if you can print these without one, I highly suggest skipping a brim. As small as they are, they're a pain to remove. For assembly, you'll need four 3mm nuts; four 3mm bolts, 10mm long; and eight 3mm bolts, 8mm long. Assembly is relatively straightforward. The finials are glued in place with pins. The topper is screwed to the main_face with 3mm bolts. The main_face is screwed to the central portion with 3mm bolts. The central section is glued to the base with pins. The spindles are glued in place on the main_face, aligning the corners of the spindles with the corners of the main_face. The clock itself is screwed to the main_face with 3mm x 10mm bolts and nuts. The main_face_lid is screwed in place with 3mm bolts. The finished product stands at precisely 14" tall. If you print this, I'd greatly appreciate two things: 1) Please share your photos and 2) It would be awesome if you could tip me a little something for this model. I worked incredibly hard on this one and I'm extremely proud of it. If you'd like to donate using bitcoin (I'd prefer this method), you can do so via my address: 1DdWx5E86iQsVam361q3T4qMGKXdGBRCxx
