Grand Piano Model w/lid & Key cover
thingiverse
This is a replica of a grand piano designed specifically for a friend who owns a Yamaha Disklavier. I was truly impressed by the intricate details of its soundboard, keyboard, and other components. To replicate this masterpiece, I attempted to recreate it, focusing on accuracy. The model features distinct white and black keys, a 4-layered soundboard with strings, a functioning keyboard cover, foot pedals, and a stool. I reinforced the legs using m3 screws, which significantly improved their stability after being rather unstable initially. Thin wire was also used for the hinge pins - alternative options include dressmaker pins with their heads cut off. Although there are some minor issues with the files, I successfully assembled the model without making any changes. Unfortunately, I had to use wire for the lid hinge as the printed one broke while installing it. To facilitate further modifications, I have included the Fusion360 files here so you can make adjustments as desired.
