This high-detailed, high-polygon 3D model of the Grand Canyon Area in the USA (without texture) is based on real data and ideal for animations and CG renders. However, it's not suitable for game or real-time environment use due to its high geometry details. Covering an area of approximately 200km x 200km (124mi x 124mi), or 40000 square kilometres / 15444 square miles, this model is constructed with quads only and no tris or n-gons. As a heavy scene, it requires a strong computer for optimal performance; a minimum of 16GB RAM and an Nvidia 10 series GPU or equivalent is recommended to open all tiles at once. Keeping one tile open lowers the requirements to 4GB RAM and an Nvidia 7 series GPU. The model is divided into nine geometry tiles for easy use, with a polygon count of 9 million per tile and 81 million points/verts in total. Files include .c4d (whole model), .fbx (v7.1), and .mb formats, each containing nine files for the nine tiles, which can be easily "copy+pasted" to fit together.
