The model of the Grand Canyon is created using 3ds Max 2015 and V-Ray 3.60.03 software. The scene features a 40x40km wide area with LWF maps included for texture. The geometry is constructed in the metric system, utilizing layers, subdivided, and displaced elements without collapsing the stack. The Turbosmooth modifier can be used to adjust polycount and displacement levels. Before subdivision, the model has a polycount of 80,000. V-Ray materials are applied, along with included maps. Lighting is provided by a daylight system, with shadows baked into the diffuse texture using satellite images.
