GRAMiPhone Fixed - iPhone 6 Gramophone Horn
thingiverse
This is a tiny remake of the GRAMiPhone - iPhone 6 Gramophone Horn. All I did was correct the orientation for those who needed help understanding how. The original creator gets all the credit. This passive amplifier horn boosts your phone's speaker without power. The horn design is based on a Western Electric exponential horn profile. The horn measures 7.5 inches long and securely fits into the base, with a 0.010 inch clearance for the phone that actually worked out well when printed. Update January 5, 2016: I've adjusted the base to be more printer-friendly without supports needed. However, there's still a round tube inside that might cause issues without support printing, depending on your printer's ability to handle overhang layers. I've also increased the clearance for the phone so it's not as tight. The new base file name indicates this revised version. Check out my video at https://youtu.be/QZo0a7ev3IU?t=9m26s. Print Settings Notes: I printed this on my XYZPrinting DaVinci 1.0 using XYZ filament, and only used supports for the base part. To remove the internal support from the tube on the base, I used a hairpin to push it out and it came out smoothly.
