I have a 3rd Gen Echo Dot, and I know it spoils the old-timeyness of the original, but I like to see the lights on the Echo Dot so I know it's working. I modified the Gen3 base and lid to raise up the Echo Dot until the light ring is visible. Only the box and lid are necessary. I took the horn and ring from the original Gramazon.
