Graduation Cap Orrery

I created a functional model of the inner planets for my graduation cap decoration. The model showcases the sun, Mercury, Venus, Earth with its moon, and Mars. Each planet's orbital speed is proportional to the others, accurate up to three decimal places. To ensure accuracy, I scaled up the parts by 2540% if they came in microscopic sizes. In addition to the printed plastic components, I used: * Approximately five inches of one-eighth inch stainless steel rod to hold the sun securely. * Almost a foot of one-sixteenth inch stainless steel rod to hold the planets in place. One-sixteenth welding rod works exceptionally well for this purpose. * A number six sheet metal screw for added stability. The planet models themselves are included in the files and can be printed. However, I chose to create mine using modeling clay to achieve a natural, blended color effect.
