I created these graduation hats for my son's party as he was graduating from High School. One hat features custom M&Ms with his face on them, sourced from http://www.mymms.com/home.do. The center of this hat has a cup cake-sized hole. The other hat holds custom cookies with his face printed on them, obtained from http://www.zazzle.com. These cookies are 2.75 inches in diameter. For the tassel, I used colored twine measuring approximately 13 inches long. To achieve the right length, I folded it and made a few cuts. The metal wire I utilized was 20 gauge, sourced from my local hobby store's bracelet area. To attach the twine to the hat, I drilled a hole in the top (not all the way through) and tied a knot or two before stuffing the hole with filament. Using an extruder, I manually pushed the filament into the hole until it was full. Then, I used pliers to smooth out the area while it was still hot, which requires quick action. When printing these hats, make sure the top is facing down and supports are in place. I encountered some warping issues initially but found a solution; if you experience similar problems, feel free to reach out to me for assistance.
