Grabber i3 PSU Holder http://reprappr.blogspot.com.br/2014/07/graber-i3-ps-on-com-fonte-industrial.html My Graber http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:182675 Graber i3 - PS-ON with Industrial Source The power management in my Grabber i3 is handled by Ramps 1.4 via pin PS-ON. By 'industrial source,' I'm referring to a configuration that differs from the standard ATX power supply pin start, requiring an adaptation of a relay to serve as the power-on trigger. Here's the custom case designed to house all electronic components. I needed to redraw it due to my power supply only having one handle for screw mounting. This initial design featured blue accents; I later reworked the impression and swapped parts with brown, mirroring the MDF material color, although the final color is inconsequential for this demonstration. This image will serve as a representation. Note: I won't be sharing the file for this case as it's very specific, and I advise against purchasing a power supply with screws on one side only, like my current setup. --- **Operating Instructions** ### Normal Operation (No PC Connected) 1. Turn the power switch. 2. Press the start button; hold it down for 1 second or more to initiate, but it usually starts promptly. 3. The power supply is activated, followed by Ramps powering up. 4. Through the PS_ON function, the relay remains active. ### Running through a PC via USB 1. Turn the power switch on. 2. Connect the Arduino (Ramps) via USB to the PC. 3. Activate the power supply and thus Ramps, just as in normal operation. 4. Once again, due to PS_ON functionality, the relay stays activated. While this configuration is typically adequate for standard settings, some tweaking may be necessary if you're not seeing proper function. For instance, in Repetier Firmware (located here: https://github.com/repetier/Repetier), locate 'Configuration.h' and adjust: #define ENABLE_POWER_ON_STARTUP - do verify, since disabling it may hinder starting the system. #define POWER_INVERTING 0 – switch to “1” if the relay is not responding correctly. When completing your print job, utilize Slic3r (available at http://slic3r.org), adding 'M81; ATX Power Off' to the script ending command to automatically shut down the printer at completion.
