GrabCad Real Rendering Challenge "Klapschaats" (clapscate)
grabcad
This entry showcases my participation in the rendering challenge. After cleaning, I created a 3D model of my Klapscates – a Dutch invention superior to conventional speed scates due to their hinged blades that remain on ice longer, maximizing leg power. These scates are popular at global speedscating tournaments. The scate attaches to a custom shoe heat-shrunk to fit my foot precisely. This is achieved by softening an inner part of the shoe when heated, then placing it inside a vacuum-sealed container that molds the shoe to the foot as it cools. This process can be repeated if foot shape changes or for new owners. Your likes are appreciated!
