Grab reminds crab, so I made an articulated mechanical-crab to escape from the obvious. "Grabby was once a common crab, who was found near death by his creator, which was versed in robotics and design. Disturbed by the suffering of the animal, he decided to give him new members and a reinforced carapace, keeping his soul safe in the interior of it. The restored animal decided then to live with his friend, in his desk, as companion for the long hours spent working in his projects."
