Grabber for Paint Pole
thingiverse
I needed a grabber I can use on the end of extension pole and activate using standard paracord, threads are very close to paint pole threads so will fit on standard paint poles or extension poles. I use this to get frisbees out of trees, items out of the lake, and other assorted grabber needs. A rubber band of appropriate length and tension is used to open the claw and paracord is used to feed through the hole in the lever to activate and tension the close mechanism. The depth is 1 in deep and the claw is designed to open 45 degrees or about 3 inch pinch gap. I used a leftover screw and washer I had laying in spare parts bin and the rubber band is one I got off a bunch of asparagus. The screw hole is 4.5mm in diameter and the screw you use will need to be at least 1.25 in long. The extension pole I use is an Everysprout brand and paracord is standard 550 4mm paracord. Fusion files are included. Let me know if you have any feedback. My print time on draft was approx 6 hours. When you import to your printer, SPLIT the item into two components or use one of the two sides and make sure its flipped in such a way that there are no bridges and no need for supports.
