Grabber

Grabber

I'm just starting out with openSCAD, so I coded this object myself - it took a while, but I'm pretty proud of it. The design is based on a multi-part version posted by acvarium, and I modified it to make the grabber end in one piece. Unfortunately, my printer has a tendency to glue the middle section together because I didn't leave enough clearance for my makeshift setup. Plus, I haven't mastered printing overhangs yet - I'm still waiting for some proper cooling to get the job done. If you want to try this out and see if it works, that would be great. There are slots for elastic bands and pull strings, so don't worry about getting a good grip. Once I figure out how to print without too much support and master overhangs, I'll give this design another shot. If anyone wants the openSCAD code, just let me know - I'd be happy to share it with you.
